Set up at Flushing Meadows Park, by the Unisphere (June 8th, 7am - 8 am): Help set up the start of the tour. This work involves heavy lifting and setup of tables, chairs and literature.
Check-in at Flushing Meadows Park, by the Unisphere (June 8th, 7:40-9:30 am): Sign riders up for the tour and direct people to the start location. This is the most important volunteer job, because a smooth start sets a positive tone for the whole ride.
Rest stop crew in Queensbridge Park (June 8th, 8.30 am - 12 pm): Join us at Queensbridge Park to feed our hungry and thirsty riders. Get first pick in snacks here.
Finish at Flushing Meadows Park (June 8th, 12.30 - 2 pm): Greet riders returning from the tour and help T.A. clean up.
Standing Marshal at the Gantry Plaza State Park (June 8th, 11.45-2 pm ): Tell riders to dismount their bikes and help them navigate Central Blvd. at Gantry Plaza State Park (and a friendly reminder to riders not to ride in the park).
Riding Marshal Registration Closed Consider volunteering at a stationary position and riding the tour afterwards (all of our volunteers are welcome to ride in the tour, even though registration is closed for regular riders).
Register as a group of 5 or more. Check here if you are registering a group of volunteers. The volunteer coordinator will get in touch with you to match your group with a suitable volunteer opportunity.
